• Call: Block Markwayne Mullin’s Confirmation as DHS Secretary

  • Call your senators and tell them to press Trump's nominee for DHS secretary, MAGA loyalist Markwayne Mullin, for real answers during his confirmation hearings. Kristi Noem is out at DHS, but Trump's nominee to replace her is at least as dedicated to sending ICE and Border Patrol to terrorize our cities. Markwayne Mullin's Senate confirmation hearings begin on Wednesday. Tell your senators to hold Mullin's feet to the fire and when his confirmation vote comes around, to vote NO.

  • The administration has been buying up properties, and sometimes actually converting warehouses into camps that will hold human beings, often in dangerous and horrifying conditions. We have a chance to stop this expansion in its tracks!   • Republicans are once again pushing for a series of voter suppression bills–all variations of their infamous “SAVE Act” which would create unnecessary obstacles for millions of eligible Americans trying to register to vote.

  • A series of bills with the same impact as the SAVE Act, (like ending registration by mail, adding new ID requirements that could prevent millions of eligible voters from registering) could get a vote in the House this week.   • Attend the Mesa City Council meeting(s) to advocate for the nullification of ICE and Mesa PD's 287(g) agreement. Reports and investigations confirm these agreements lead to constitutional violations, including racial profiling. 

• Email NOW: Send Mesa Mayor and City Council an Email re: PD and ICE Agreement 287(g)

  • Use Indivisible Mesa’s template to email our Mayor and city council members to end the 287(g) agreement between ICE & and the Mesa police department.

• Call NOW: Call AZ Attorney General, Kris Mayes, to Stop the ICE overreach

  • State Attorneys General have real tools and legal standing - what they need is the political courage to act. Let’s make sure they do. Then follow up with an email too.
